Should I consider a heat pump water heater to replace my electric model?
Definitely. Heat Pumps are often the simplest replacement for an electric water heater. They have a storage tank much like an electric water heater. They use the same plumbing and electrical connections as electric water heaters. They can be quickly installed by a licensed plumber and they consume about a third of the electricity than a traditional electric water heater.
The one thing to be aware of is that the water in the tank may take a bit longer to heat but a Enviroheat Heat Pump comes with an electric back-up element for those times when the ambient temperature (weather) gets really cold.
Talk to your plumber or installer about the storage capacity to make sure you have enough hot water when you need it.
Is the heat pump compatible with roof top solar power?
Yes! The Enviroheat hot water heat pump range has an advanced control system that is feature packed and above all is easy to use.
It can be programmed to maximise the use of roof top solar power.

Are heat pump hot water systems any good ?
Due to this efficient process every unit of energy that goes into the heat pump yields 3 units of energy, while a conventional electric hot water cylinder is lucky to achieve 100% efficiency (you get as much energy as you put in).
The average heat pump hot water unit provides 300% efficiency.
How often should i get my Enviroheat heat pump serviced?
We recommend an annual check to clean the evaporator fins using a soft brush and a check to ensure the condensate drain is not obstructed poor condensate flow may cause an accumulation of water in the heat pump base.
And a check on the air inlet to ensure there are no obstructions. The Enviroheat heat pump hot water system should be drained and flushed every 5 years during a major service.
This involves the replacement of the two sacrificial annodes and safety valves to ensure continued life and operational safety of the system.
